Lia Mayka Mumbo leads the Impact function at Food4Education, where she helps translate real- time operational data into evidence and strategy. Over the past 16 years she has worked across food systems, agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, and international development in roles spanning innovation, program design, research, and strategic consulting—including with the United Nations World Food Programme’s East Africa Innovation Hub and through her own advisory work with NGOs, foundations, and multilaterals. Earlier in her career she led Village Capital’s Sub-Saharan Africa accelerator programs, working with early-stage entrepreneurs to refine problem statements, develop solutions, and pitch their ventures to investors. She has been based in Nairobi, Kenya for the past 12 years and holds a B.A. in Sociology from Northeastern University and an MSc in International Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
