Independence-X Aerospace (IDXA) is Malaysia’s first private space company and a pioneer in NewSpace transportation systems in Southeast Asia. Based in Technology Park Malaysia and incorporated in 2013, IDXA originated from a special interest group founded in 2003. The company develops cost-effective, high-performance aerospace solutions including launch vehicles, re-entry capsules, satellites, and hydrogen-based energy systems. IDXA’s mission is to be ASEAN’s leading equatorial-based launch service provider and a key contributor to interplanetary exploration. IDXA's portfolio includes the dedicated nano launch vehicle—an indigenous, cryogenic-fueled rocket designed for sun-synchronous orbit insertion of nanosatellites—and the microgravity experiment re-entry capsule—a patented, lab-on-a-chip platform for unmanned biotech and pharma experiments in space. Their novel solid-state hydrogen reactor powers re-entry capsules, drones, and rockets with unprecedented efficiency. With in-house development of propulsion, communication, and onboard systems, IDXA is advancing scalable and sustainable access to orbit and beyond.
